Our family wanted to adopt a four year old little boy from Liberia, Africa. When our completed paperwork was submitted, we were so excited that we could bring a child from Africa into our home. But, that same week, the Liberian government stopped all adoptions from their country. We waited for almost two years and Liberian adoptions were never resumed. We decided to help orphans since we could not take our own home. I have committed to making these necklaces and contributing 10% of the profits to provide for orphaned children.
